Yes, I wish that I had the magic formula that could make things go my way 100% of the time. Honestly, I don’t. This post is actually about an attitude. The attitude of living life as if you already have what you want. It’s the attitude of believing in something so strongly that you live each moment as if whatever it is that you believe is an actual reality.
For the past several weeks, I’ve allowed myself to be overcome with tremendous amounts of doubt. There are certain things that I want, need to happen in my life. I want them very badly. I have taken the proper steps to ensure that I can get the things I want. And it seems like every step that I take, only leads to another obstacle. It’s been very discouraging, and exhausting.
Today I find myself reflecting, and thinking about a book I was introduced to by a family member. The book is entitled “The Secret.” It speaks in greats, in great detail, about the law of attraction. It’s an interesting read to say the least. I was cleaning my room and saw this book, and I thought about some similar Biblical principals that I had been introduced to years before I knew anything about this book.
The principles are simple: When it comes to things that you want, you have to believe that you have those things. Start living you everyday life as if those things are already in your possession, and by having such a strong sense of belief, you will in essence draw those things into your existence, by attracting them to you.
For instance: If you need a car.
You should express that you need/want it
(Biblical principal: Ask in prayer.)
Then you should believe that you have that vehicle.
You should start living your life as if you own that vehicle. That would mean, clearing a space for the vehicle in your garage, start looking for possible parking places at your job, etc.
What some people have called the LAW OF ATTRACTION- I am calling FAITH. That’s what this post is about. This post is really about having enough faith to believe in something (no matter how impossible it may seem), and begin living your life as if you already have what you believe in.
For me that means that in the upcoming months, I am going to stop stressing about whether or not I will receive what I need. Instead I am going to spend more time preparing my life for the blessing that I am believing will come.
I have been training myself to live by this principal for the past week or so, and already I am happier, and my mind is more carefree. There is a sense of peace that comes from being freed of the prison of our current situation. I hope that you can free yourself by believing beyond your current hindrances and circumstance. Start believing that you can have what you want.
